I've always been drawn to metal art. Learning to weld has allowed me to bring my own visions to reality in such a fulfilling way.
I have no formal training in art or design, but tend to work with something until it feels right. Sometimes I go to the welding lab with no particular project in mind, and sooner or later the steel guides me toward what it wants to be. Those can be some of the most satisfying projects.
Often seeing something totally unrelated in a different medium will suggest a line here or a flow there that can be incorporated into metal designs.
