I have found that I am sincerely fortunate in being a part of the community of welding Artists that have been born  through the program which Peggy Ritschel began nearly 20 years ago at Metropolitan Community College.   I have been a part of Women Who Weld since Melinda had the foresight of creating such a wonderful platform  for women who created welded sculpture, to present the collective of our creativity as a presence.  I love my work and my play in welding and I have learned so much.  I cannot believe that nearly 10 years has passed since I first lit a torch.  I am Melody Scott and the future for US is bright.
